Kali-Kalihan Harvest Festival in Don Salvador Benedicto
Bored of thinking where to go for this coming February, Don Salvador Benedicto could be a place to consider.
Found at the center of the mountains of the northern Negros Occidental, Don Salvador is considered as the little Baguio of Negros. Along the road, the scent of pine trees fragrant the place. The cool breeze simply reminds you of how nice it is to unwind and reconnect with nature. Other than that, it is a place where romance could be perfectly molded.
During the month of February, there’s more to look forward to at Don Salvador Benedicto. Aside from the unique environment, the residents of Don Salvador Benedicto yearly celebrates the Kali-Kalihan Harvest Festival.
During the Kali-Kalihan Harvest Festival they showcase various cultural and traditional activities of the people. This year, this festival is to be celebrated on the 9th of February.
There’s more to expect from them!
They have in-lined colorful presentations where there will be the traditional “Kali” dance parade and the search for the “Diwata sang Kali” wherein contestants would wear creatively designed costumes made out of indigenous materials abundant in their area.
