Masskara 2009 starts today

Today, October 1, 2009, marks the start of festive moods here in Bacolod.

Masskara 2009 started and will continue on until the charter day which is October 19. Today, festival kiosks of foods and drinks at the plaza will sure invite visitors to taste the delicious chicken Inasal of Bacolod.

A lined of activities will be waiting for the Bacolodnons and guests who are in the mood to celebrate the fiesta.

Every year, the event coordinator displays a pride of Bacolod through the icon of a smiling faced Masskara.

This October 5, 2009 let us look forward to the opening of the Masskara Village at Robinson’s Place Bacolod and be excited with how creative each masks are made. The Masskara Village at Robinson’s will showcase a display of different masskaras, made of different unique materials by different Negrense artists.

This is to show that Bacolodnons are not only friendly people but are filled with pride and is full of ability.

Be welcomed by the happy faces displaying not only the uniqueness fromNegros but also the very reason as to why Bacolod is called the City of Smiles.
