ELINJ – Aviary, La Castellana

Feeling the heat of summer on a November weekend, Our family took a trip our of town for change. We end up to the city of La Castellana one of the municipality of Negros Occidental, just a few kilometers down south of Bacolod.
Never did we expect, hidden in it is a place of paradise for animals like birds and wild creatures. Elinj Aviary that’s what they call it.
Entering the orange gate’s premises you will be amaze of what awaits you.
The cutest bearcat is there to greet you in surprise .
A giant green iguana is worth a perfect smile. There are just so many creatures in such a magical place.
Inside the owner’s place, is the breeding sanctuary for parrots , parakeets and other feathered animals. The owner (Elinj) also has a collection of marine creatures. It was my first time to see a live piranha swimming in an aquarium and to my surprise “mata-mata” turtle that plainly looked like specially formed rock.
There are just so much to see in a place like this; Almost all bird creatures are here. The monkey-eating eagle poses in psych while the, peacock stands in youthful beauty.
A giant-like dinosaur aged bird is what you can say. Hairy chicken. rainbow parrots, plain colored feather birds and so much more.
Not only that, you will be “awed” in surprise to see what a tazmanian devil look like. While the leopard cat fiercely posed his sharp teeth, the snakes are shyly hiding in sleep.
Santa’s reindeers poses delight while letting you touch thier antlers. Every corner just surprise you to a colorful experience.
There’s no need to spend a lot of money to gain memories with these animals. All you need is just to spare time and humble fun to enjoy the moment of nature.
I suggest you budget yourself about Php 150.00 to enjoy this unique experience.
