What is Blackout? (courtesy of: Blackout fan page via Facebook)

Eight of Bacolod’s hobbyist photographers came up with a group photo exhibit which aims to raise awareness about Bacolod City’s treasures and some parts of Negros that are oftentimes overlooked or neglected. Locations such as the Burgos Central Market, Chinese Cemetery are used as one of the many subjects of this photo exhibit. This project would also serve as a tribute to the unsung heroes, the local businesses, which helped shape Bacolod as a rapidly rising and progressive city.
The photo exhibit aims to awaken the spirits of the unconscious and bring them back to consciousness on why Bacolod as a city and Negros Occidental as a province is such a treasure and pride to its people. Hence, the title B L A C K O U T. At the end of the exhibit, the photographers, models and organizers hope to bring the realization to its audience on how Bacolod and Negros Occidental WAS, IS, and WILL BE in the future.
